Repurpose your old newspapers to make a stylish bowl.

What is it? Create a stylish bowl for your office or home with repurposed paper! A great way to reuse materials, this workshop will be guided by our crafty host who will show you how to layer strips of paper to create this eye-catching bowl.

What will it entail? Each guest will be able to make either a small bowl ready to take home, or start the foundations to create a large bowl, made by layering rolled strips of paper.

How is it hosted? Hosted by our artist Vanessa, she will bring all the pre-prepared recycled materials and glue to the workshop.

How much is it? £35pp + VAT with a minimum spend of £360 + VAT.

How long is it? 60 - 120 minutes.

Where can it be hosted? In the office or a venue of your choice, this workshop only needs space for all team members to sit with a small amount of desk space. Travel costs will apply, please enquire for a cost.

What will the workshop involve?

By utilising pre-cut strips of paper sourced from newspapers and magazines, you'll be guided through the process of rolling and flattening these strips before carefully arranging them to form a bowl shape. Once the glue has dried, the resulting bowl serves as a lovely addition to any desk, perfect for organising small supplies like paperclips, or it can be transformed into a stunning table centrepiece, ideal for displaying fruit or decorations.

This workshop is a great way to bring the team together on a creative project whilst also engaging in a fun activity that promotes recycling and sustainability. It provides an opportunity to discuss the importance of reducing waste and finding creative ways to reuse materials, and by the end, they will be proudly showcasing their handmade bowl.

Who is your host?

Your host is our artist Vanessa. Vanessa is a craft specialist with experience in many mindful art forms, her presence at team activities and at work events is calming yet vibrant and will get your team engaged with the activity and ready to get the most out of the session. She has been hosting corporate team building activities for a few years now after leaving the corporate world and has found teaching craft workshops like this a real privilege as you see the team members leave with a sense of achievement and mindfulness.

  • Creative team activities are just as important for team building as activities that make your team work together to solve puzzles and clues. Bringing your team together for activities at work will make a difference whatever the activity & if you have a creative team or those with mobility issues and, you want to make your activity inclusive, then mindful and creative activities are the perfect choice. It will bring a shared experience to your colleagues which will improve how connected your team is and therefore how your employees collaborate & how good their teamwork is.

  • You can book for whatever group size but, we have a minimum spend of £300 + VAT. However, you can have a small team or large team participate in the activity and our host will be able to help everyone along the way.

  • Your group will leave with a small compelted bowl, or the foundations of a bowl & the knowledge to evolve this into a larger bowl with their new-found skills. During the session they will hopefully also learn more about their colleagues and create a bond through the activities.

  • Team building is an essential part of the work day that helps to develop strong team relationships and rapport amongst colleagues. Through communal activities and small group conversations, team building allows people to relax, have fun and get to know each other better. It promotes collaboration, creativity and problem-solving, as teams come together to complete tasks that help them think outside the box and find collaborative solutions. Team building events, both formal and informal, are an excellent way to strengthen bonds, build trust, and increase the efficiency of a team. The activities can range from the more traditional such as group games, to more creative pursuits such as painting, music, and building projects.
