Virtual Kokedama Workshop.
Create a floating eco-system from your own home.
What is it? 'Kokedama' translates from the Japanese words for moss ('Koke') and ball ('dama') - it is the art of freeing a plant from its container and planting it in a moss-covered soil ball. In this virtual workshop your team will join remotely and make, alongside our host, two of these striking plants to proudly hang in their home.
How is it hosted? The session will be hosted by one of our botanical experts on a video platform such as Zoom.
How long is it? The session will run for 60 minutes.
How much is it? £45pp + VAT including UK delivery. There is a workshop fee of £175 + VAT for groups of 10-15.
Where can we deliver? Mainland UK delivery included in the price. For any international deliveries, please enquire to discuss additional costs.
You will learn how to care for your Kokedama.
When your kit arrives in the post - you’ll need to keep the wraps in a cool shady spot in some water to keep them moist, until you are ready for your workshop.
Our experts will give you all the information you need to keep your kokedama healthy on your virtual workshop - but generally, a shady spot in indirect light is ideal. They only need watering around once a week, when the moss ball starts to feel lighter or looks paler in colour. To water, dunk your kokedama in water for 30 seconds or until it stops bubbling, then allow to drain on the sink side before hanging up again
The kit includes enough materials to make two Kokedama and comes with two different houseplants, usually Asparagus Fern and Indoor Ivy (these may differ subject to availability).
