“Women In Wine” Tasting.

What is it? The perfect International Women’s Day experience for something a bit different. Embark on a wine tasting focusing on female winemakers from all over the globe - feel the girl power in each glass! Winemaking is still seen as a man’s job in most of the world - these women are changing the way. Come and learn about the awesome women who bring us awesome wines.

What do you get? You will get to taste 5 wine samples and write down your thoughts on tasting notes. Not only will you learn about these female winemakers but you’ll also learn how to smell and taste the wine.

How much is it? £45pp + VAT with a minimum spend of £450 + VAT. Travel and/or parking fees may apply depending on location.

How long does it last? 90 minutes

Where can it be hosted? This wine tasting is available across the UK. It can be hosted in your office, a venue of your choice or one of our venues in London. There are no venue requirements.

Who are these leading ladies?

The selection of wines is subject to change but here is one of our selections for your wine tasting.

  • Ayana Misawa is the winemaker at her family estate in Japan. A woman of vision from the vineyard to the wine style to the design of her own bottles.

  • Chloe Gabrielson is Mãori and moved to Marlborough to pursue a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology. She now represents the wine making team at Lake Chalice Wines (as well as being a cross-fit athlete - now that really is girl power!)

  • Eliza Visser has received the title of "Young Winemaker of The Year' - the first time a female has received this accolade! She has been making strides at the Olifantsberg Winery in South Africa since 2015.

  • Maria Jose Yravedra – winemaker and architect – is an absolute visionary for the region of Galicia, Spain. She works with natural farming and biodynamic principles to create beautifully refined and mineral-driven wines.

  • Caterina Bellanova won European Producer of the Year for San Marzano Wines - they are one of the most forward-thinking cooperatives in Southern Italy.

  • You will taste 5 x 100ml wine samples

  • Kate from Virtually Together was personable and very helpful in organising our team event. We had a few requests in advance that needed catering for in terms of locations/dietary requirements which were all taken on board. The experience with Jacinta (the sommelier) for our Wine and Cheese event was fantastic and really enjoyed by the whole team - it felt very inclusive for those who had slightly different adaptations from the main package. Who is your host?

Jacinta is our amazing Sommelier, founder of her own wine tasting business and working across the country at festivals, offices and restaurants - she has it all. Her vibrant personality will engage all guests and she is the perfect host for a “women in wine” experience. Along with her female Sommelier and wine expert friends, Jacinta is on a mission to educate people in a fun and creative way about wine. This is no doubt a “snob-free zone” wine tasting.
